Born to a welsh mother and an English father (who was a self-taught artist) Lynn lived most or her life on Ashdown Forest Sussex. Having a conventional education, she then entered the world of fashion and commerce. Design, colour and creation were important to her career.

Lynn's inspiration to pursue her creative side came when first spending time in the South of France, which she now does quite frequently, enjoying the atmosphere and light. Her constantly evolving style and bright coloured composition reflect her need to instil her sense of optimism. The inspiration to her fresh vibrant approach to her painting reflects her attempts to add a little more colour into today's society.

Lynn is influenced by Fauvism, a joyful French style of art first seen in the early twentieth century. Fauvism is characterised by vivid, non-naturalistic and exuberant colours, to create an intense mood.
